Heavy-duty cutting and creasing machine

Hindustan Engineering Works based at Amritsar manufactures hand-fed cutting and creasing platens that are designed to handle the cutting, creasing and embossing of paper, solid board, corrugated board, micro flute, rubber, linoleum plastics and leather using a flat die. They are robust high precision machines whose bed and platen are made of graded casting. The motor operates a sophisticated transmission system and this in turn operates the machine by means of an electromagnetic clutch and brake for instant stopping. The pressure adjusting system allows the operator to make the pressure adjustment while the open dwell time of the platen is variable. The control panel for the machine is located in front of the operator from which position all the machine functions are available. Special care has been taken to ensure that adequate safety systems have been installed mainly in the control of clutch, full electrical interlocking and safety guards. The machines are supplied with central lubrication and complete electrical installation including a sheet counter. Heavy-duty cutting and creasing machines of the following weights are also available: 3.5 ton, 4.3 ton, 5.5 ton, 6.5 ton and 10.4 ton. Specifications include inside chase: 20" x 26"; platen size: 23" x 29"; impr/hr: 1600; power required: 3 HP; floor space: 55" x 50" and weight approximately: 2.7 tonnes.
