Unimat is specialised in the manufacture of abrasive cut-off machines. Cylinder liner cutting is a special application of abrasive cutting and is required by auto ancillary units manufacturing cylinder liners. Unimat Cylinder Liner Cutting Machine Model 415-CL is used for chopping off the ends of cylinder liners. The machine employs thejob rotation principle to give fast and clean cuts with the minimisation of burrs.After feeding, the job is rotated on a pair of rollers and is clamped pneumatically from top. A rotating support prevents the job from skewing off sideways during cutting. Because of quick clamping and job rotation mechanisms, the operating cycle is very fast. The machine is of robust and heavy construction tio minimise undesirable noise and vibrations and is suited for heavy duty production-purpose applications. Employing a 15-HP motor, a liner with 6 mm wall thickness can typically be cut in less than 30 seconds.
