Cnc Swiss Type Automatic

The Star SH-16 CNC Swiss type automatic, a compact 5/8"-capacity machine said to be priced in the range of conventional cam machines, is a companion machine to the 1/2"-capacity SH12 model. The SH-16 machine is a two-axis model designed to straightforward turning and ID work. A total of eight tools-five for turning and three for front drilling be installed on the gang tool post. By installing sleeves (such as drill, tap, die and boring) onto the triple sleeve holder, a variety of front machining tasks can be performed. The Star SH-16 features a 32-bit Fanuc 21-FA CNC unit, designed to make programming easy and shorten processing time. Major specifications of the machine include the following: maximum headstock stroke, 5-5/16"; main spindle speeds, 400-8,000 RPM; and approximate dimensions, 60" wide x 37" long x 65" high.
