Chamfering machine

Bangalore-based Infin Machine Tools offers automatic chamfering machine, Type K 20 2T CN, from Picco Angelo & Co, Italy. The machine executes the chamfering of the internal and external gears by two cutters, which work simultaneously the first the right side and the second the left side, through the intermittent-cutting system. Every cutter head is provided with five movements, which allows to obtain whichever positioning in the range of the machine use. Every movement is supplied with a digital absolute indicator for an easy and quick positioning of the axes when the same piece have to be repeated. The work head is supplied with an axial movement for the translation of piece from the working area to the load/unload area and/or conversely. These areas are divided by a chip proof bulkhead. The indexing movements and the cutting movements also are driven by brushless motors controlled by CN. The axial movement of the work head is obtained by preload linear roller ways and by ballscrew. The automatic cycle is: quick approach of the piece to the cutters; chamfering either the indexing movement or the cutting movement are made by the work head, the cutters are not in movement; quick back-away of the work head from the working area; and cycle end.
