Air Plasma Cutting System

Air when heated up to 30,000°F undergoes ionic changes and reaches the fourth state of matter, called plasma. Instead of expensive argon or nitrogen, Shiv Shakti Industries uses only compressed air for plasma formation. Hence its called air plasma. Features: the cutting speed achieved ensures high productivity; operating cost of air plasma is very low; it avoids distortion and gives fine cut finish; very little post cutting operation is required metal wastage is minimised; and the job does not get over heated. Applications: air plasma can be used to cut following metals – mild steel; carbon and alloy steel; copper; bronze; manganese steel and special alloys, etc; stainless steel; aluminium and its alloys; and castings. Specifications: primary voltage – 380-440 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz; secondary voltage – 260-280 V; line current – 35 A; arc current – 80 A; OCV (no load) – 300-320 V DC; power rating – 20 kW; insulation duty cycle – F class 100% at full load current of 80 A; cutting capacity for SS clean cut – 20 mm; and for SS parting cut – 30 mm.
