Titanium and Zirconium Reactors

In many areas, the conventional glass lined and rubber lined reactors are replaced by titanium, zirconium or tantalum lined, cladded or solid reactors. Similarly, pipings can also be made out of titanium, zirconium and their alloys. The major advantages of using such reactors are: better heat transfer, better mechani- cal strength and freedom from damages during handling and main- tenance, no product contamination, lesser down time and main- tenance cost.
