Plough Shear Mixer/Dryer

Plough Shear Mixers/Dryers are used in chemical and allied industries. The mixer can be used for a variety of applications like mixing, granulation, drying, etc, for a number of products. The working (filling) volume varies between 40% to max 65%. The mixer does efficient mixing with minimum residence time. The mixing elements are arranged in a special geometric sequence so as to prevent formation of static zone inside the mixer. The mixing elements cause radial and axial product movement. The product discharge takes place through a specially designed pneumatic/hydraulic opening and closing arrangement at the bottom. Formation of agglomerates is possible in case of solid-liquid mixing. High-speed choppers can be provided to break lumps into evenly sized particles. The control panel is provided with interlocks for extra safety and ease in operation. Fluid coupling is provided to prevent damage due to frequent start and stop. A Stuffing box is provided with air/nitrogen purging to prevent external dusting.
