The magic LAB is a small-scale laboratory dispersing machine most frequently used for developing new products or optimising existing process techniques. The laboratory dispersing machine is available with seven interchangeable modules is suited for a multitude of dispersing and homogenizing tasks as well as the mixing of solids and liquids. Important parameters of the machine are constructionally identical to those of IKA's Series 2000 inline production machines: UTL, DR, CMS, MHD, MK and MKO. Therefore, the magic LAB allows for safe scale-up to IKA production machines. The module ULTRA-TURRAX UTC changes the laboratory dispersing machine into a batch disperser, similar to the larger IKA machine UTC. Here, the magic LAB is turned upside down and mounted to a telescope stand. The module Micro-Plant changes the lab dispersing machine magic LAB into a re-circulation system.

The speed, torque, and temperature can be set and recalled via the operation and information centre for the laboratory dispersing machine, magic LAB. The labworldsoft software allows for storage of process data and enables PC control of the magic LAB. The laboratory dispersing machine comes in a transport box which can also house various modules.
