High Shear Mixer

In the Mikrons High Shear Mixer, all rotor/stator mixers are comprised of a rotor that turns at high speed within a stationary stator. As the rotating blades pass each opening in the stator, they mechanically shear particles and droplets, and expel material at high velocity into the surrounding mix, creating intense hydraulic shear. The mixer easily replaces other high speed mixers in many applications, with the rotor turning at 3,000-4,000 fpm. The mixer applies intense mechanical and hydraulic shear and produces vigorous flow in a low viscosity batch.
