High Speed Mixer for PVC Compounding

Malik Engineers manufacture High Speed Mixers for preparation of PVC Compound in dry blend form from raw PVC resin and other ingredients. The machine consists of a sturdy, stainless steel mixing vessel fitted with aerodynamically designed S.S blades to impart thorough and homogenous mixing of all the ingredients with the basic PVC resin. The S.S vessel is provided with outer jacket through which cooling water can be circulated to cool down the compound. The mixing shaft is supported on precision and over-rated bearings fitted in water-cooled bearing housing. The top lid is fitted with provision for inserting thermocouple sensor which is interlocked with the main drive AC motor. A precision solid-state controller is provided to set the desired temperature to which the compound reaches during mixing operation. The controller automatically switches-ff the main motor to prevent overheating of the compound and thus avoiding chances of de-gradation of compound. The discharge gate at the bottom is then operated to empty the compound from the vessel. In the standard machine the lid opening/closing and the discharge gate open/close operations are manually done. But these operations can also be controlled automatically by pneumatic cylinders working on suitable air-compressor. The machine is presently manufactured in batch size of 50 Kg. All material contact parts are made out of stainless steel to resist corrossion.
