Forced Circulation Evaporators

Fenix Process Technologies Pvt. Ltd. designs and manufactures efficient and low-cost Forced Circulation Evaporators for various process sectors. The forced circulation evaporators are used for processing liquors which are susceptible to thermal degradation, scaling or crystallizing. Liquid is circulated at a high rate through the heat exchanger, boiling being prevented within the unit by maintaining a hydrostatic head above the top of tube plate. Heated liquid is sent to a separator maintained at a lower pressure where the hot liquid flashes and gets concentrated.

Main applications for a forced circulation evaporator are in the concentration of inversely soluble materials, crystallizing duties, and in concentration of thermally degradable materials which result in deposition of solids. In all cases, the temperature rise across the tube bundle is kept as low as 2-3 0C. Recirculation ratio of 200-300 kg of liquor per kg of water evaporated is maintained. Operating costs of forced circulation evaporators are considerably higher than film evaporators.
