Catalytic Incinerators

Veecon-IPA Gastechnik Ltd. offers Catalytic Incinerators. The selection of a suitable catalyst requires theoretical knowledge of the subject as well as long experience. The desired catalyst will either be produced according to our specification or be selected from what is available in the world market.

Criteria for the selection of catalyst are:

• high catalytical activity
• excellent temperature stability
• low starting temperature
• low pressure drop
• high mechanical stability
• fire resistance

In view of these requirements Veecon-IPA utilizes catalysts on ceramic honeycomb substrates made up of Cordierite. The reaction temperature is in most cases defined by the process and is usually above 400° C. In case the temperature of the exhaust gas entering into the catalyst is too low, the exhaust gas will be heated by burners. Honeycomb substrates offer a cell density from 100 to 200 cpsi. This structure is coated with high surface area alumina which serves as substrate of the active phase of platinum or platinum bimetal.
