Hi-Therm Boiler Engineers offers Automatic Flame Controller. This comprises of a fuel control valve and an air butterfly valve formed as a combination system operating through linkages driven by a servomotor under the command of a temperature controller to inch up/down the flame. Thus the air and fuel ratio remains constant throughout the firing capacity, thereby smokeless, optimum combustion with minimum excess air and less heat loss - increases the efficiency of the system. That apart, it continuously monitors and controls the preset temperature automatically [the key factor of any heating system] and works in the set range, thereby quality product and safe operation in the temperature limits overcomes the chances of over/under heating of system. It also avoids manual controlling/settings of fuel/air whenever required during operation that too in a hot zone, e.g., a furnace - a possible place of accident. The heat supply increases/decreases depending on the demand of system that too gradually without damaging the system. The AFC comes along with a control panel duly housed with a temperature controller, relays lamps, switches, etc. It can also be supplied along with a PID controller to have a step less modulation. It finds wide application in oil/gas fired furnaces, and similar heating units.
