Spray Coater, Fluid Bed Type

Umang fluid bed coater is suitable for spray coating of fine pellets of drugs and course powder. The powder/beads are coated with the help of a Wurster design product chamber with bottom spray nozzle and partition in the center of distribution plate. The distribution plate is well designed to give uni-directional flow for uniform coating without dead pocket. The beads when coated with the solution are airborne to such a height that they reach near the filter assembly, and when they start falling back, are fairly dry when reaching the product chamber for further coating. Standard design features: all contact parts are of SS 316 and other parts, of SS 304; SS 316 pleated filter with sequential cleaning arrangement during operation; hinged expansion chamber for ease of cleaning; AC control for blower to achieve the desired fluidization as per product density and batch size to be coated; sample taking port; steam heaters or electric heaters; and, peristaltic pump. A range of optional accessories are available. Advantages: coating is done with the minimum loss of spraying solution, and it is 3-4 times faster method than conventional coating pan method.
