Top Syringe Mfg Co Pvt Ltd offers a Transformer Oil Sampling Instrument, TOSIN, for dissolved gas analysis, etc. This is in compliance with: IEC 60475 – method of sampling insulating liquids; IEC 60567 – sampling of gases and analysis of free and dissolved gases; and ASTM 3613 – sampling insulating liquids for gas analysis and determination of water content. The TOSIN kit consists of:

• Truth brand glass syringe ranging from 1 to 100 ml in steps of 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100 ml
• Nylon stopcock – 3-way, 2-way
• Tygon tube with connector
• Padded carrying cases
• Un-vented male plug cap

For in-service oil filled electric transformers, sampling of the oil provides a method to determine the condition of the solid and oil insulation as well as the operating condition of the transformer without opening or de-energizing the transformer. Sampling provides a means to check the condition of oil in storage, whether it be new or used, and to determine if it complies with company specifications.
