A reference-grade hand held spectrophotometer for portable colour appearance and gloss measurement, the 45G spectrophotometer comes with an integrated gloss meter, which offers the industry’s best repeatability, unrivalled inter-instrument agreement and includes Datacolor 'Tools' desktop software. The 45G has the performance needed to effectively control colour and appearance in a complex manufacturing supply chain. Useful for inspection and control of painted surfaces, plastic parts, package prints, automotive parts and other manufactured goods, 45G produces measurement results that correlate better to visual assessment. In the case of automotive parts and automotive interior components, with varying texture and finish, there is a need for each manufactured part by different vendors to match visually. The 45G spectrophotometer enables quality control of multiple components to a close numerical tolerance in order to achieve an overall match in colour appearance. Paint and coating applications can benefit from the 45G’s ability to detect changes in appearance from both gloss and base colour.
