This is used for determining the liquid limit of soils. ally useful to obtain valuable and accurate results for those soils (alluvial) which are sandy and for which the liquid limit falls below 25 or so and plasticity index between 4 and 7, but is also applicable for a wide range of soils. It meets the requirements of BIS-2720 Part V and consists of a cone fixed to a bearing rod. A graduate scale is fixed to the bracket and complete with container.
