The Polarimeter has all the features required for regular Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Process Control as well as for Research applications. This has all the four scales used for regular investigations namely Angular Rotation, Specific Rotation, Concentration and the International Sugar Scale. The instrument finds application in the Pharmaceutical lndustry for measurement of Optical Rotation and Specific Rotation of Amino Acids, Amino Sugars, Analgesics, Antibiotics, Steroids, Vitamins and other Pharmaceutical preparations and also for Pharmacological research of Ayurvedic Medicines. In Foodstuffs it is used for measurement of Purity and Concentration in Carbohydrates, Starches, Lactose, Glucose etc. It finds wide application in Essential Oil and Fragrance industry for inspection of Raw Materials like Sandalwood Oil, Menthol, Eucalyptus Oil, Lemon Oil, Rose Wood Oil, fragrances etc. In the Chemical Industry it is used in identification and characterisation of various Chemicals, Bipolymers, Natural Polymers etc. In Agricultural Sector the analysis of Agricultural Antibiotic, Hormone, Microbial Agro-Pharmaceuticals and Agricultural products can be carried out using this polarimeter. The instrument uses an easily available Sodium Lamp as light source and all electronics and power supply are built-in the instrument. This has a standard RS-232 output for printer interfacing. This accepts tube lengths of upto 200 mm. Apart from the standard supply of one 100mm and one 200mm sample tubes a choice of other sample tubes are available which can be supplied with the instrument as additional accessories.
