Single Screw Extruder for Producing Puff Snacks

Malik Engineers manufacture Single Screw Extruder for Producing Puff Snacks product viz. cheese/maize ball from maize grits. The material feed hopper is provided with an electromagnetic vibratory feeder tray to drop the raw-materials at pre-determined rate inside the extruder. The discharge end of extruder is fitted with single/multi orifice die-plate on which a rotary cutting knife operates to cut the product and produce balls. The balls so produced are wet and have excess moisture. Hence, these balls are passed through roasting oven or dryer where the excess moisture is evaporated. The dried balls are shifted to a coating pan where oil is sprayed and then cheese and spices are applied as the product is tumbled in the pan for even coating. This machine is offered in 2 sizes 100Kg/hour and 200 Kg/hour capacities.
