Spectrochem Instruments designs and develops a wide variety of special accessories and instruments used in analytical chemistry, medical and bio-technology, lab and process automation, environmental engineering. The company has designed a automatic continuous chemical vapour deposition unit for pyrolytic coating. The system consists of computer controlled filament winding and unwinding system, gas controlled system for pyrolosis of carbon as well as selane. The three-component gas control system consists of fresh airflow monitoring devices for selection of various gas compositions at different flow rates. Two such experimental systems have been designed fabricated and delivered to the ceramic group of Defense Metallurgical Research Laboratories, for a certain aeronautical component project.
