Diesel Engine Pump Set

Pelikan Engineering Corporation, Rajkot, manufactures diesel engine, which is coupled to self-priming pump by flexible leather coupling and mounted on channel base frame. The crankcase, cylinder head and cylinder block are made of close grain graded cast iron. Forgings such as crankshafts and connecting rod are made of drop forged high tensile steel. Fuel is supplied to the fuel pump by gravity feed through a ceramic filter in the fuel tank. Additional fabric fuel filter fitted on the engine body between the fuel pump and the fuel tank ensures efficient filtering. Plunger type oil pump lubricates main and large end bearings. Other working parts are splash lubricated. A by-pass filter is fitted for cleaning and cooling engine oil. This engine conforms to ISI specification 10000-1981 and the power specified is according to the Indian standard continuous rating. Applications: Agriculture and industrial applications
