ON-BOARD IN-USE DIESEL VEHICLE EMISSIONS ANALYSERS

SEMTECH portable emissions measurement systems (PEMS) provide immediate laboratory quality analysis of key exhaust gas components, including total hydrocarbons, oxides of nitrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Using Sensors’ proprietary NDUV (non-dispersive ultra violet spectroscopy) module, the NO and NO2 constituents of NOx can be measured simultaneously and independently.
At 22"D x 19"W x 14"H, SEMTECH-DS is little larger than a piece of carry-on luggage. The system can be rack mounted, and is ruggedized for use in both on- and off-road applications.

In-use testing has been developed through the cooperative efforts of the EPA, the California Air Resources Board
and the Engine Manufacturers Association. EPA states that the implementation of the in-use program should
“simplify laboratory testing requirements and lower the overall cost of future engine testing”.
