In-Bus Waste Management System

Vetus & Maxwell Marine India offers a TMW toilet for inter-city, long distance coaches. Most inter-city buses are now equipped with chemical toilets. The system includes a water hose; DWS fresh water system, inclusive of pressure pumps and sensors; level sensor mounted on the fresh water tank; electric toilet; no smell filter, waste water tank system inclusive of waste water pump; and an air vent. At the heart of the TMW (electric) toilet is a macerator pump. With its sharp stainless steel knife (blades), the macerator cuts and macerates almost everything. Extensively tested to ensure that the toilet is clog-free, the in-bus waste management system, the company offers, the smooth stainless knife and a high rotational speed ensure that the flush noise is only 69 db. Also, the eco flush uses only 1.2-litres of water. The normal flush uses 2.2-litres of water. All that the toilet needs is a 19 mm diameter discharge pipe, no longer needing travellers on the bus to be told about the use of manual pump, or the use of tissue paper. The pump motor that turns the knife is of 300 W, and designed to run on 12 V, or 24 V. Supplied as standard is an electronic control panel, or a rocker switch. The toilets are equipped with a water lock and non-return valve in the discharge line.
