Donaldson India is a subsidiary of US-based Donaldson Company Inc. The company specialises in the manufacture of engine and vehicle filtration products, compressed air and gas filtration products, aircraft filtration products, exhaust and emission filtration products, and industrial air filtration products. As part of its engine and vehicle filtration product portfolio, the company offers fuel filters for application in automotive and stationary engines. The fuel filters provide clean, filtered fuel that prevents pump wear, injector clogging, premature engine wear and can boost fuel efficiency. The company offers a complete line of spin-on, and cartridge-style filters as per the application needs of the clients. The primary fuel filters are large capacity filters positioned on the suction side of the pump. They remove water from the system before it gets to the pump. The secondary fuel filters are designed to endure higher pressures than the primary filter. Secondary filters are used on the pressure side of the pump, and provide high efficiency particulate filtration. They are also required to remove emulsified water in some systems. The durable fuel filter (water separators) trap contaminants carried in the fuel and strip away water that can damage the engine.
