Frames, Seating Systems & Hydroformed Components

Alf Engineering is a manufacturer of automotive frames. The company started with the manufacture of pressed panel components and tractor seating systems before progressing to frames. Alf Engineering has manufacturing facilities at Mumbai, Nashik, Zaheerabad and Haridwar. With a product range that includes four-wheeler chassis, LCV chassis, three-wheeler chassis, seating system for tractors, roll-over protection and hydroformed components, the company has an integrated facility for part manufacture and assembly of the chassis’ for 4 wheeler, LCV and 3 wheelers. All required fixturing and tooling is also developed and produced in-house. Currently about 150 variants of chassis are part of the manufacturing mix of the company whose Nashik, Mumbai and Zaheerabad plants have a ISO 9000 and TS 16949 certification. The company spent 2 years and considerable resources to develop hydroforming technology and is currently at the forefront of this technology in India with a 3000-tonne press in production, a 1000-tonne press for light vehicle components and is developing engine cradles and frames. It has also installed Autophoretic process at its Nashik facility. While the Nashik produces fully assembled chassis for utility vehicles, the Mumbai plant focuses on tractor seating systems, rollover protection parts, canopy suspension tubes, and other accessories. The Zaheerabad plant makes chassis for LCVs and buses besides three-wheelers. The Uttaranchal facility makes frames for 3 wheelers, and with hydroformed long members. Alf has invested in technology, machines, training and software, so that it could partner with potential customers from concept to production.
