Bicycle Tyres and Tubes

Hartex Rubber Private Limited manufactures a wide range of Bicycle Tyres and Tubes. The company has the capacity to manufactures: 18 million bicycle tyres (60% cotton/40% nylon); 15 million bicycle moulded tubes; 18 million bicycle jointed tubes; and 3 million bicycle butyl tubes. The company started as an SSI unit, Kemrub Private Limited, in 1961 with a factory that manufactured industrial rubber products and bicycle tubes branded "Hartex". Over the years, as business grew, the facility was restructured to focus on bicycle tubes given the vast scope in the Indian marketplace. In 1981 Hartex switched over to manufacture of industrial rubber products and finally to the manufacture of bicycle tubes. Having grown over time, another industrial unit in the name of Hartex Rubber Pvt Ltd (HRPL) was set up in 1987 in Andhra Pradesh near Hyderabad with a production capacity of 2.4 million bicycle tyres and 0.6 million molded tubes per annum. This unit commenced commercial production in record time and its product carrying the "Hartex" brand name was established in the market as synonymous with superior quality and reliability.
