Mahindra Gears & Transmissions is a group company of Mahindra, and under the Systech business division. The company manufactures quality gears and transmission components. Having manufacturing facilities in India, at Rajkot, and in Italy, the company produces spur and helical gears, sprockets, transmission spline shafts, couplings and power take-off clutches. Beginning operations with the acquisition of SAR Auto Products, Rajkot, the company, along with ICICI Venture Funds Management acquired Metalcastello S.p.A in Italy. Catering to the needs of OEMs and Tier suppliers in India like Eaton, Dana, Mahindra, Sonalika, and others, the company also manufactures DIN 8/9 class of finished gears in module range of 1.5-8. Progressively and constantly expanding capabilities to include profile grinding, the company, coming to have a facility at Pune, produces more than 6,00,000 gears and transmission components per month. The products conform to German specifications DIN 6 to DIN 9 class of accuracy, while the well equipped manufacturing infrastructure of the company is ISO 9001 and TS 16949 certified.
