Machino Polymers offers a range of Automotive Solutions. The portfolio for automotive solutions includes: exterior materials including trims and dashboard; under the bonnet parts; and HAVC application materials. The company has developed materials and these are approved globally for all the leading OEMs in India. In the span of 7 years from 1999 to 2006, it was running a joint venture with Basell Polyolefin. However the automotive solutions developed are its own and totally indigenous. Research and development is the backbone, with complementary competence towards developing the next generation materials within their stringent timelines for new product development. The company was founded in the year 1994 with technical agreement with Himont. A research and development facility was installed in 1995 and commercial production began in November 1996. A 50:50 joint venture was formed in 1999 between Basell (formerly Montell) & Machino Plastics Limited. The new company, name changed to Machino-Montell India Limited and later to Machino-Basell India Limited in 2001. Today MPL is a part of the Machino Group of companies and is 100% owned and promoted by the Jindal family.
