Water Treatment Systems

Krofta Engineering India was started in 1983 with technical collaboration with Krofta Technologies Corporation, USA. Krofta is the world leader in Dissolved Air Floatation clarifiers (DAF) and the technology was developed and patented worldwide by its founder Dr Milos Krofta. The name, synonymous to DAF world over since 1955, supplies the most efficient DAF units to all sectors of the industry. Over 500 installations are running successfully in India and 5000 globally. The company supplies complete solutions for water and wastewater/sewage problems to achieve zero discharge. The Krofta systems comprise: 1. DAF Systems – (a) Supercell – a circular DAF clarifier characterised by very low retention time of 3 minutes, pre-fabricated delivery requiring a maximum of 5-7 days for construction and commissioning and very high efficiencies and for separation of O & G (+98%) and suspended solids (+90%); (b) Sedicell – a combination of flotation and sedimentation system with residence time of 20-30 minutes, very useful for separation of floatable and settle-able solids and biological sludge thickening; and (c) Minicell – circular DAF for oil removal; 2. Belt Filter Presses – very efficient for squeezing sludge in the ETP line to give an outlet of approximately 30% consistency; these can also be used for squeezing pulp from 1% to 30% consistency in de-inking plants for better ink removal in disperser; and 3. Corrugated and Tilted Plate Interceptors (CPI & TPI) – Krofta tilted or corrugated plate interceptors offer enhanced gravity separation of immiscible liquids via inclined parallel plates and coalescing media. Self-contained above-ground units, in-ground parts kits and multistage units.
