Water Softener, DM–DI

Environmental Products (India) offers water softening, de-mineralisation/de-ionisation plants that are designed for counter current regeneration method, which gives high output due to increased regeneration efficiency. The unique design prevents resin loss while backwashing. The systems available are double bed and mixed bed – up flow or down flow. Softener works on ion-exchange principle where strongly acidic cation exchange resin is used to replace hardness forming ions, such as calcium (Ca+2) and magnesium (Mg+2), with highly soluble sodium ions (Na+). As the water is passed through a series of resin beds, the ionic content is removed by chemical reaction. The result is chemically pure water from the standpoint of freedom from ionic constituents but non-electrolytes such as organic compounds and micro-organisms cannot be removed. The vessels are made out of FRY/MSRL/SS 316, etc., as per customer's requirements. High quality resins provided ensure maximum purity of output water.
