The Ultra High Rate Clarifier, Square Type, is designed to operate at significantly high-rise rates compared to conventional clarifiers. The unique design is a combination of lamella plates in retrievable, modular construction and solids contact clarifiers. The square design allows construction of multiple units with significant reduction in civil costs. By allowing common wall construction with other units, it helps in making very compact layouts. The units are assembled at site with great ease and in a very short time.
Clarification of surface water; lime soda softening; removal of colloidal silica; colour removal; white water recycling; primary (physico-chemical) treatment of waste water; and removal of heavy metals in the chemical and automobile industries.
Uniquely designed to remove suspended solids up to 3000 ppm by coagulation/flocculation, external micro-media addition and lamella settling; very compact size; processed water has a turbidity less than 10 NTU; allows very high rise rate in clarification zone; micro-media benefits; presents very large surface contact area enhancing flocculation; acts as ballast increasing the settling velocity of flocs; suitable for small to large treatment units; excellent quality and stability of treated water under unfavourable conditions such as very high, or very low solid concentration.
