Mumbai Waste Management Ltd (MWML) offers Biomedical Waste Management. The company provides services for bio medical waste collection, transportation and disposal since 2003. It has a facility equipped with incinerator system with equipment like primary combustion chamber, secondary combustion chamber, ventury scrubber, spray quencher, and ID fan, chimney, autoclave, shredder, gas monitoring device, effluent treatment plant and computerisation. MWML belongs to Ramky Group and started its operations in October 2002 as a world class Treatment, Storage, Disposal Facility (CHWTSDF) to manage hazardous and bio medical waste disposal. The project was awarded by MIDC to Ramky Group through global tendering and is set up on an area of about 100 acres. The facility has temporary waste stores, intractable waste stores, secured landfill, stabilisation/treatment facility and an incinerator with 100% power backup facilities.
