Being a specialised field, the working on air pollution problems has become a difficult task for affected industries. Many times, simple ventilation suggestions or optimum systems solution solves the problems comparatively at very low cost or at no cost. Air exhaust volumes are normally designed based on ventilation standards. Exhaust volume and hood design plays a very important role for suction of dust/fumes and cost of the system. Typical capacities ranges from 500 CFM to 50000 CFM and static pressure from 2” WG to 50” WG. These systems can handle gaseous contaminant like HCL, Cl2, SO2, NH3, NOx, etc., including recovery systems. After careful study of customers’ technical requirements – the company selects from varieties of control equipment for wet systems – packed bed, orifice, venturi, ven-jet scrubber, etc., where water/caustic is used for absorbing/collecting gas/vapour/dust contaminants. In dry systems, the selection is from cyclones, bag filters – motorised or pulsejet type, where dust contaminants are physically separated. The company designs the systems after optimisation of various technical parameters, which results in best possible efficiency at minimum initial cost or operating cost.
