Electro Static Precipitator (ESP)

Soil Enviro Industries offers Electro Static Precipitator (ESP), the most efficient equipment applicable in the field of industrial air pollution control. The ESP consists of high voltage (HT) emitters, generally called discharge electrodes, and adjacent particle collection surfaces generally called collecting electrodes. In its simplest form an ESP consists of a single wire at very high electrical potential inside a single earthed tube. With increase of HT voltage, at negative potential, electrical potential occurs across the space gap from the wire towards the earthed (positive) tube surface. Industries processing raw materials and converting it into finished products, involve high chemicals and heat generating processes, which release hot gasses and electrically charged materials in the atmosphere. The particles are polluting the environment for several years. The ESP counters the environmental pollution in order to get clean and harmless air. ESPs are installed in the plants, for treating the harmful gases to covert them into least harmful gases, removing dust particles from flue gas, etc. ESP works to the highest efficiency every time when it is tested or implemented in high temperature and gas producing plants. It is an electro mechanical device, high voltage equipment mainly consists of two sets of electrodes held in rows, separated by a particular electrical gap/distance. The one set of electrodes (Discharge Electrodes) are fed with high voltage DC (max up to 110 kV) generated through transformer rectifier set, to set free ‘Corona’ (free flow of election). The other set of electrodes (Collecting Electrodes) are made earth connected. When dust laden gas passes through the field, due to the Corona effect, the gas gets ‘ionised’ and negatively charged. It forms an electron storm and drags the dust along with it towards the earth plate (collecting plate) where it gets discharged, the clean flue gas passes out through the stack. Now through rapping mechanism the dust gets dislodged into the hopper of the ESP and subsequently the dust is taken cut through dust conveying systems.
