Dust analyser

Dust analyser, Model D-CEM2000, is a dual beam transmissometer configured for the measurement of opacity and dust concentration within the flue gas. The high intensity light source (red LED) gets modulated at high frequencies. The detectors are tuned to their transmitter frequency and are therefore unaffected by any other light source. Its unique optical arrangement provides continuous measurements of transmissivity of visible light across the flue in opposite directions, providing not only an accurate average of dust loading within the duct, but a dynamic assessment of any misalignment errors which may occur due to duct movement. To protect the transceiver lenses the D-CEM2000 comprises of well proven air purges which provide a continuous air curtain to avoid contamination on exposed optical surfaces to an absolute minimum. However, a slow build up of contamination is possible over many months of operation and can produce significant measurement errors. To rectify this, the D-CEM 2000 is equipped with automatic compensation for contamination on exposed optical surfaces for both transceivers.
