Non-Sparking Motors

Laxmi Hydraulics offers Non-Sparking Motors. It is manufactured as per the international standards. It is CE marked, an exclusive range of increased safety (Ex "e") and non-sparking (Ex "n") motors up to 270 HP for ever-growing challenges and demands of industries with semi-hazardous atmosphere. It is suitable for zone-2 classification of hazardous area. Its components are made of cast iron, with "F" class insulation and the temperature rise. The windings are impregnated with insulating varnish and baked. The overhang of the winding is treated with epoxy gel coat. The rotors are made of die cast aluminium with squirrel cage construction. The eyebolts are made of carbon steel and the terminal box end covers are made of cast iron. The terminal box can be rotated through 360 degree, in steps of 90 degree. The terminal studs and accessories are made of brass/SS and are nickel-plated. The motor is designed with a single row, double shielded, deep grove ball bearings and is pre-greased with high temperature grease for life, up to 225 frames. For 250 to 315 frame bearings are provided with geared arrangement. The fan is made of aluminium. The fan cover is of MS sheet metal pressed/welded. Standard motor is totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC). The motor is provided with noise and vibration level maintenance. The clearance between the fan/fan cover and the motor cover is maintained 2 mm minimum. The ambient temperature is of 40 degree C. All hardware/ fasteners are zinc plated to prevent corrosion. The drain hole with a plug screw on the end shield to remove condensate is painted with one coat primer, followed by 2 coats of anti-corrosive paint.
