New "dirty duty" motors for severe processing environments

Baldor ASR AG manufactures electric motors for "dirty duty" applications. These features a range of special protection measures to withstand the most severe and corrosive applications in the processing industry and intense high-pressure washdown. The surface coating is impervious to high pressures, extreme temperatures and caustic chemicals that can deteriorate painted motor components. Surface coating offers additional protection against the most severe washdown applications, and provides a level of protection suitable for marine applications. All DirtyDutyWD motors feature a stainless-steel shaft extension preventing rusting of the shaft to the pulley or other driven equipment. Baldor"s proprietary ISR (Inverter Spike Resistant) copper magnet wire that prevents insulation breakdown from harsh chemicals and moisture and a gasketed and sealed conduit box and lid protects motor lead connections. These 1750 RPM motors are available in ratings from 0.373 to 7.5 kW/1/2 to 10 HP, in both US and European voltages and frequencies, in C-face versions, with or without base mountings.
