Motor With Rhombic Moving-Coil Design

Maxon's 2522.900 Series of motors has a rhombic movingcoil design that provides low electrical noise, fast acceleration, and high efficiency. The ironless rotor allows for zero cogging and simple, accurate control. The rating ranges from 3.8 W with precious metal brushes to 5 W for the graphite-brush version. The motor is available either with a single shaft or with a passing shaft for mounting an encoder or tachometer. Other options include ball and sleeve bearings, terminals, and leads. Motor length varies from 31 to 34.6 mm, while the diameter is 22 mm. The maximum continuous torque from the motor alone is up to 6.41 Nm.
