Flame-Proof Motors

Laxmi Hydraulics offers Flame-proof Motors. Its frames and end shields are made of gray cast iron with sturdy design and have high strength to prevent internal explosion due to the external inflammable gas. It uses fasteners that are provided with shrouds around their heads to prevent from opening easily (tamper proof) and also to maintain the gap as specified. Also they are made of high tensile material. Terminal studs are of brass, suitable for DOL starting up to 3 HP (3 terminals) and above 3 HP star/ delta starting provision is made (6 terminals). Motors with mining application are provided with cable entries, either with a sealing compound, filling the sealing box or with a flame-proof wiping type cable glands as desired. Cable entries are provided either single or double as desired. Motors are designed for continuous operation in an explosive or inflammable atmosphere in coalmines, chemical and petrochemical industries. The construction is such that they withstand rough usage without any deformation. Bearings are double shielded with high temperature grease for life. Other products available are energy-efficient flame-proof motors, flame-proof geared motors and flameproof brake motors.
