DC Motor Controller

Thyrodean Micro thyristorised DC motor controller is a compact and economical speed controller. It is suitable for 0.37 kW/0.5 HP DC motor having 200 V DC field and armature voltages up to 180 V DC. The controller requires an input of 230 V AC, 50 Hz and gives continuously variable (0 to 180 V DC) output. Model Micro is a full wave, half control unit with armature voltage feedback giving a regulation of ?2% and speed control range of 1:20. Soft start circuit ensures repeated jerk-free starting of motors with an acceleration time of up to 3 seconds. It is fully enclosed with an elegant facia complete with Power On indication, Motor Off/On switch, input and output fuses and graduated dial speed control potentiometer. Micro is ideal for low cost machines using small DC motors for the drive system and also retrofit in imported machines. Model Micro-R has the same features as Micro but with regenerative braking and reversing facility.
