DC Motors

M R Industries manufactures a wide range of DC motors that are available in standard ratings from 0.25 HP to 40 HP with standard speeds and different types of construction. These compact motors built based on modern design concepts are offered in various frame sizes with standard armature voltage being 440/220; field in general is wound for 220 V. Separate excitation/shunt compound excitation is also standard. The standard speed rating is 1,500 rpm. Insulation is Class B, with temperature rise well within limits of BS 2613 or IS 4722 over an ambient temperature of 40 degree Celsius. These motors for general use have drip-proof ventilated enclosures for protection against vertically falling water or dirt. All standard motors are horizontal foot mounted, screen protected, and self/separate fan cooled. The drip-proof enclosure can be fitted with an external blower unit driven by separate motor.
