DC Hub Motor For Electric Bikes

Crompton Greaves is a manufacturer of high-end power and industrial equipments and solutions. The company also manufactures consumer products and home appliances. Dealing in power systems like transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, vacuum interrupters, network protection and control gear, the company offers brushless DC hub motors for electric bike application. The motors are available in three types – EV 250, EV 580 and EV 800. For application in e-bikes and e-scooters these motors are hub mounted and have a voltage rating of 36/48 V DC for EV 250, 48 V DC for EV 580, and 48/60 V DC for EV 800. The EV 250 offers a full load output power of 250 W. The EV 580 offers a full load power output of 580 W, and the EV 800 offers a full load power output of 800 W. The full load torque offered by the three motors is 8.1NM, 11.8Nm, and 14.1Nm respectively. All the three motors offer a system efficiency of between 85 and 90%. The motor controllers are available in two models. The one with a rated voltage of DC 36 V and 48 V is suitable for application with EV 250 motor. The other controller, rated at DC 48 V and 60 V is suitable for application with EV 580 and EV 800 motor.
