Brushless Servo Motors

Parker Hannifin Corporation, Compumotor Division, has introduced the NeoMetric Series, a new line of brushless servo motors. The NeoMetric Series is available in 70 mm, 92 mm and size 34 frame sizes, and features continuous torque output of 6 to 62 lb in. Brushless construction is enhanced by the use of high-performance neodymium magnets, and each motor offers thermostat protection and a TENV housing. Offering outstanding torque-to-inertia ratios in a compact package, the NeoMetric Series also features a bridged stator construction that reduces audible - noise. Conventional motor designs allow magnetic forces to act on the stator teeth, creating movement in them much like a cantilever beam. The bridges between the teeth in the NeoMetric design stiffen them, reducing movement and consequently the mechanical noise generation within the motor. Incorporating 1,000-line encoder, Hall effect or resolve' feedback options, the NeoMetric Series is offered with a range of connection choices. The NeoMetric Series is provided with a two-year warranty. For OEM applications, Compumotor provides free test services, documenting NeoMetric Series motor performance with the user's drive amplifier and customising winding characteristics to the amplifier.
