The dimensions of the single phase motors are in accordance with IS: 996 and those of the 3-phase motors are governed by IS: 1231. Each and every NEC brand AC electric motor is tested according to the relevant IS specifications, which following revisions, are now considered to be world-class standards everywhere. Most of the 3-phase motors carry ISI Mark, which is a hallmark of quality.
