Viscous Fan Drives

BorgWarner Cooling Systems India is a manufacturer of viscous fans and fan drives for application in a variety of automobiles in India. Catering to the requirements of Tata Motors, Tata Cummins, Ashok Leyland and Mahindra, the company also offers a few other thermal management products too. Products that aid on optimum cooling of the engine, and lower the engine noise levels. The products are made at a well-equipped manufacturing infrastructure near Chennai. The viscous fan drive is a thermostatic device, and an integral component of an automotive cooling system. When the engine is cool or even at normal operating temperature, the fan clutch partially disengages the engine's mechanically-driven radiator cooling fan, generally located at the front of the water pump and driven by a belt and pulley connected to the engine's crankshaft. This saves power, since the engine does not have to fully drive the fan.
