Microstepping Drive

API Motion's DM224i-EDN microstepping drive is equipped with a DeviceNet network interface. The drive is capable of 3 A per phase at 48 V, and can produce holding torque up to 350 oz-inches when mated with MST high torque step motors. The DM224i-EDN eliminates the need for indexers or motion controllers in many applications because it accepts direct, high level digital commands from the machine controller via DeviceNet. Features include automatic mid-band stabilization and microstep to full step switching.
