New India Electricals commenced operations as an importer/exporter and manufacturers’ representative in the year 1948, specialising in servicing the electrical engineering industry. The group later diversified into manufacturing oil immersed HT/HV and LT/LV switchgear; explosion proof/flame proof and weather proof switchgear and electrical lighting; electrical AC induction motors and monobloc pumpsets; manufacturing of aluminium and gravity diecast and electrical precision turned components; and power and distribution transformer core lamination. The company offers a range of helical shaft mounted drives. Specifications: helical speed reducers; 98% efficiency per stage; seven sizes; reduction ratios – 5:1, 13:1 and 20:1; direct mounting on shaft; case carburised and ground gears; and long life.
