Fixed Centre Drive

Deepak Drives offers a fixed centre drive. This highly efficient unit brings infinitely variable speed to countless industrial applications where low cost, space saving and a wide ratio are essential considerations. The fixed centre drive is suitable for 0.75-30 kW motor ratings. The speed variation is in ratio of 1:6. The drive consists of two variable speed pulleys and a belt, one pulley is mechanically adjusted and the other is automatically adjusted. Both the pulleys work together on a fixed centre distance. Speed variation can be achieved by applying pressure on the driving pulley by means of a screw spindle, cam, lever arm, servo motor, hydraulic or pneumatic actuators, etc. The speed can be adjusted while the machine is in operation. These drives are ideal for built-in machine arrangement, ie, drilling, milling, tapping, honing machines and saws, lathes, etc. The drives are available from 0.67 kW to 11 kW ratings.
