Integrated Automation Systems offers Bipolar Stepper Drives, SD2A. The translators/drives are bipolar, adjustable speed and two-phase PWM drives, which use hybrid power devices. These can be set to operate a step motor in full step or half step. The maximum running speed is 3,000 RPM. To reduce the chances of electrical noise problems, the control signals are optically isolated from the drive circuit. Switch selectable current levels of 0.5 through 2 A. Surge suppressors and regulators in-built. Specifications: input voltage - 12-30 V DC/20-40 V DC; phase current - 0.5 to 2/1.0 to 3.5 A; drive power dissipation - < 35 W; motor connections - 4/6/8 leads; minimum inductance - > 0.5 mH; maximum resistance - 0.25 x V DC supply/set; step angles - full - 200 steps/rev, half - 400 steps/rev; and dimensions - 125 x 85.5 x 50 mm.
