Torsional Vibration Damper

Continental offers torsional vibration dampers. These find application in the engine, and support the V-ribbed belts that operate the various auxiliary drives off the engine crankshaft pulley. The belt pulleys the company offers are optimally tuned to the V-ribbed belts. Apart from supporting the V-ribbed belts, the torsional vibration dampers also dampen the vibrations from the crankshaft, thus protecting the drive belts and assemblies. In the case of torsional vibration damper isolators (TVDi), the belt drive of the auxiliary assemblies is also decoupled. Resonant vibrations that arise as a result of the rotational irregularities of the crankshaft are absorbed highly effectively.
